Places to Visit
|
Wensleydale is home to many attractions and places to visit. It is an excellent location for walkers with many beautiful walks starting from Aysgarth. From Cornlee, you can take the scenic footpath to the famous waterfalls (approx half a mile) or undertake the more challenging Herriot Way, a 4-day, 52 mile circular walk popular with our guests. |

Aysgarth Falls |
||
|
The three
waterfalls (Upper, Middle and
Lower) of Aysgarth Falls make a dramatic spectacle
after heavy rain as the River Ure tumbles furiously over the
limestone shelves. Located
approximately half a mile from Cornlee, they may be accessed on
foot either by a surfaced footpath or a pleasant walk across
open fields. For those who prefer to drive to Aysgarth
Falls, vehicle parking is available at the
National Park Centre. |

exercising. |
