village of Aysgarth in Wensleydale, the Heart of the North
Yorkshire Dales National Park.
Aysgarth is better known for its breath-taking triple flight of
waterfalls, just 800 yards from Cornlee. The Upper Falls
were made famous by the 1991 film, Robin Hood: Prince of
Thieves staring Kevin Costner.
This quiet village is located between the Market Towns of
Leyburn and Hawes in Wensleydale and offers an ideal
location for those whom enjoy Hiking, with many scenic
walks available. Cyclists wishing to enjoy the views from the
saddle or maybe attemping the famous Buttertubs Pass
(Tour de France 2014). With breathtaking scenery, that can
be enjoyed from both car or motorcycle. Cornlee is centrally
located making visiting many beautiful and interesting
places easier. Or maybe you just need a relaxing or
romantic break in a peaceful setting.

Aysgarth is the starting point for many
walks, including the popular, 'James
Herriot Way', a four day, 52 mile
circular walk which takes in the many
sights and scenery featured in the
popular books of James Herriot.
Just a short 10 minute walk away are
the beautiful Aysgarth Falls, which
were featured in the film, Robin
Hood: Prince of Thieves.
Our central location means day trips
to Cumbria or across to Whitby, Robin
Hood's Bay, Scarborough and
Goathland (famous for the hit TV
series Heartbeat and now Hogwarts
Train Station in the Harry Potter
films, before returning to relax.
